AMD Stone Products

AMD Stone Products is a family business run by Stone Craftsman Alun Davies and his wife Angela.  Alun has been working within the stone industry for 20 years.  In that time, he has become fully experienced in templating, manufacturing and fitting of various Granite, Marble and Quartz products.  He has had the pleasure of making Granite kitchen worktops for various Premiership Footballers and Managers, International and Aviva Rugby Premiership players and various high profile business men and women.  He has also been involved in the design and manufacture of worktops for multi-million pound yacht projects and also projects that have been shipped out internationally to the South of France, Mexico and Miami.
 
It's safe to say that Alun has the experience to see your project through from beginning to end no matter if it's just a chopping board or the worktops for a bespoke kitchen.  Your job is in safe hands!
 
We are based in North Wales and the main areas that we cover are: Wales, Wirral, Merseyside, Liverpool, Cheshire, Shropshire, Hereford, Lancashire and Greater Manchester.  However, we do operate Nationwide.

Alun

Alun has been in the stone industry for 18 years and dedicated his time to just 2 different employers (Both of which have excellent reputations across the UK for providing high quality worktops with excellent customer service).

Prior to that Alun worked for a local bespoke kitchen cabinet manufacturer making kitchen units. 

It was when Alun was promoted to Assistant Workshop Manager with his most recent employer that he really started to enjoy the challenge of working directly with customers (both private and trade).  Alun was managing the complete process of creating kitchen worktops from Granite, Marble and Composite/Quartz stones.  From measuring up, to cutting the stone to fitting the worktops and completing the job. 

The satisfaction of a job well done and the enjoyment of project management was very motivating and in May 2013 Alun spoke to Angela about setting up a business together.

 

Angela

Angela has vast and varied experience in both the retail and finance sectors.  She has worked as an Assistant Manager for 2 well known clothing stores and has been employed by several large finance companies, including M&S Financial Services, MBNA & HBOS.  This has provided Angela with valuable skills in customer service, IT, finance/accounting, marketing and office management.  Alun felt they could combine their skills and experience to effectively run a professional stone business and with Angela’s support felt it was a good time to take the leap of faith into self employment.
